Amy Winehouse With UPDATED Photo

The Red on this one washed out some in the daylight. The true color of that background is literally named REAL red. Think candy apple red. I love it. The high contrast between the black and the red just pops on the actual canvas.

Anyways, As you can see I added detail to her hair, and fixed some tiny dots on her shirt.

Other than dry time, she's finished.

Jan Vermeer 1663 Woman in a Blue Dress

Hmmm. A baby bump? Interesting figure. This is by the same artist who painted Girl with a Pearl Earring.

My Kitchen And The Green Door

Please pay no attention to the cat food.
I am sorry Rossi that it took me a year to get pics of my house, but it has been undergoing a makeover.
Where does that green door lead? To the laundryroom/coatroom refridgerator, trash and backdoor. The other green door in the first batch of pics is my room. One day I may actually clean that up and get you some more pics of the make over.

Truly Revolutionary... A Car That Runs On AIR

Link Here

BBC News is reporting that a French company has developed a pollution-free car which runs on compressed air. India's Tata Motors has the car under production and it may be on sale in Europe and India by the end of the year.

The air car, also known as the Mini-CAT or City Cat, can be refueled in minutes from an air compressor at specially equipped gas stations and can go 200 km on a 1.5 euro fill-up -- roughly 125 miles for $3. The top speed will be almost 70 mph and the cost of the vehicle as low as $7000.

The car features a fibreglass body and a revolutionary electrical system and is completely computer-controlled. It is powered by the expansion of compressed air, using no combustion at all, and the exhaust is entirely clean and cool enough for use in the internal air conditioning system.

Reg Mombassa AKA Chris O'Doherty

The Young Australian Jesus (before he went to India)

On a tv bio of Chris O'Doherty, his brother was interviewed and said, "I love my brother, but his art is CRAP!  I don't know what people see in it."

Albrecht Dürer 1471-1528

Albrecht Dürer was one of the first artists to paint a self portrait.  Multi-skilled, he was a painter, an engraver, a wood-cutter.  At that time woodcuts were used as illustrations in books.

The Flight Into Egypt is an engraving. I'm stunned that the baby is naked, considering the time of year this was.

Is it REAL or is it a PAINTING?

I seriously can not tell if this is an actual photo, or a sketch. I go one way, then the other. No idea, I just grabbed it to study her, never noticed the mystery till I went back to it weeks later.

Is that a photo, or is it just one damn fine artist? I honestly can't tell.

More Random Images From My files

I don't know why, but this picture fascinates me. It was taken as the Allied Forces came into Nazi Germany. High ranking Nazis knew they would be killed and there was the rampant rumor that the Allies would leave no survivors of those found with officials. This is a mid level Nazi official, and two of his secretaries that committed suicide as they saw the troops advancing on them. It is such a quiet, yet disturbing scene. Not graphic, yet the epitome of a lost war. They knew they had been involved in horrific war crimes and so they poisioned themselves. Even though it is quiet and eeriely calm, you can see the last things they touched, odd assortments of what they found important in those last moments are just laying there. It must have been terrible in that room, before everything went still.
