Congrats Cedric!

I was expecting to help Cedric finish up a canvas we started, but the lights going out kinda stopped that. We will get back to it asap.

But besides that, Cedric went yesterday for his orientation into his first job in the domestic oilfields. It is a really good job and we are very proud of you Cedric.

Try to keep all your fingers intact or we will just have to teach you to draw with your feet!

Well done, Cedric. It is good to have a well paid job whilst becoming more proficient at your art. Looking forward to seeing that canvas.

Cedric is joining the oil industry?

Evil bastard!

Seriously though, best wishes to him - a good income is so valuable in a post-W "ownership society."

Domestic oil fields Ally.

Nothing evil about using our own resources. My man is also domestic oilfield. My son will join them too, probably the day after his 18th bd next summer.

For here, it is a highly desired job to get. Good money, good benefits.

He will need them too with his new baby on the way.

The only drawback is that he was a college student and that will have to wait now.

But paying the bills won't wait for an education so... He will be ok I think.

Christy, you probably know this better than most, education is available for the whole of your life. It doesn't have to happen in any particular order. Cedric will be just fine, I'm sure.

My eldest son presented me with my first grandchild when he was just 19. Cedric, you are about to discover what *love* is. When your baby arrives is when *love* will be redefined for you. And that definition will have additions made to it every day from then on.

Domestic oil fields - it beats killing Iraqis for oil, for sure!

BUT... one reason Alaska is so evil is because of all the presence of the oilmen.

I'm just very suspicious of anything remotely related to petroleum.

You're barely older than me, and you'll soon be a grandma... you make me feel old!

Umm, I am not going to be a grandma.

I should have clarified, I meant the baby Cedric is expecting, not my son.

My son better not be pregnant, or I will hurt him real bad.

Speaking of hurting someone real bad, I will probably need you to come with me on my trip.

The "President" of the Republic of Korea, who is acting more like the Republican Governor of the 51st State of South Korea, needs his ass kicked really bad.

He's funding the Republicans, the McCain-Palin campaign, and California's gay marriage ban and teen abortion ban, through the Moonies. To me, that's an act of war.

Come join me for some serious ass-kicking - this is what the future of the other 49 States (not Alaska) of the Union comes down to.

Cedric,

Congratulations on the impending baby (even if unexpected) and the job interview. I wish you the best of luck with it.

I also want to encourage you to find a college where maybe you can attend night school or take some classes online. It's so important to try to do that, while still finding a college with a good reputation, so that you can improve your odds in life.

I know it's hard. But even one to two classes (and some schools do have online classes so that you can squeeze it into your schedule) each term can help you towards a degree.
