He already taught me one thing...

Hello rodrigo. Welcome. I'm from Tasmania the small island to the south of the eastern side of the Australian big island. When I think of Brazil I think of colour, colour, colour and music and art and more colour and dancing and festivals and - oh yeah - I'm sure there's dark there too - but I'll just think of the light - and the colour.

- and Christian - good to see a few words from you after a long while - come visit again soon. I often wonder what you are doing these days

"Spanish author Miguel de Cervantes once called Portuguese "the sweet language", while Brazilian writer Olavo Bilac poetically described it as a última flor do Lácio, inculta e bela: "the last flower of Latium, wild and beautiful".

It does seem very different from the other Latin based languages.

Balneário Camboriú sounds beautiful Rodrigo.

Just don't make it look too good, or else we will all have to come live with you! Or atleast visit until all the food is gone.

Can you tell me about the Native people of Brazil? What race are they? I want to look up their art work. What race are you? Are you Catholic? How old are you?

I was so surprised to read about the German and Italian influence on your country. Seems an odd place to find Germans.

Our countries are so far apart, but we share the same history and people. I think that is very cool.

Yes Christian - all moms are moody - when we need to be. Oh yes, and occasionally when we don't mean to be. It's hard to see the pleasure in video games because they don't involve thinking at all. Even violent games are passive in the execution of them - pressing buttons and stuff. No passion. Automatons could be made to do that. They desensitize us to the real world and human contact. That's just my view. Plenty of others would differ!

However. On the basketball front - sounds like you're enjoying that and it's certainly a great game. A tremendous release of energy and workout for all the muscles, especially the heart. I even played it myself in the dinosaur era back in the late 1950s.

And welding. Well, we certainly need welders and always will. My 32 year old son is a welder and is in more demand everywhere he as lived than he has the time to deal with. He just designed and made a great 2 sided easel for his 2 little girls - paint tray and all. He uses all the scraps for his home projects. It's a good occupation.

All in all it sounds like you are doing just great and your life is happy. I just visited with my kids and their partners and kids. At this stage of my life I'm really happy to live alone. LOL

And next year I'm off to school again - at least online. So, life gets crowded. And that's good.

And lastly Rodrigo, your home and surrounds sound truly beautiful. Near the south Atlantic coast, how lovely that would be.

Christy said...

Did that boy just call me 'moody'...?

Why, I may have to have him beaten!

(He is too big for me to smack around!)

Moody? I am not moody, I am just...evolving.

You should try it son.

Christian said...

Woz!! LOL wow in the dino era ha!! That made me laugh pretty hard, but yeah..I love b-ball its the most fun sport I've ever played.About the energy part,...*exhale,it's a very hard sport to play if you dont know how to breathe right.Shame though im 6'3 and cant touch the rim.:( BUt i love the sport, keeps me in shape and keeps me doing something.

I wonder what its like down there. I wish i could go there someday, that would be fantastic. All the beaches, all the sites,oOoOoO and girls..LOL cant leave them out.HAHA!!

Hey Cristy,
I have thirty two years old. And you? In Brazil the greater number or part the people are Catholic, but exist many religions. Here in Brazil, the people don't have specify race, because have many immigrants; for example, italians, germans, japoneses, portuguese, africans and others. I descend of germans... hehehe!

Rodrigo

Christy said...

German? Wow, that IS cool!

Man do those Germans and Italians seem to be everywhere!

I am 34, but an OLD 34.

I always thought of Brazil as Catholic, but it is good to know they did not conquor everything.

Freedom of religion is very important to me. Almost as much as freedom FROM it! HAHA!

But I know you have to have NATIVE races...? 'Tribes' Yes?

Like.. Incan or Mayan..?

Me, I am Cherokee, Choctaw, Creek, Irish, German, French, English, Scottish, Dutch and Portuguese!

HAHA!

I LOVE THE AMERICAS!
