Every time I get a 'Great Idea!', I go to explore it further, only to find out the Italians have already figured it all out atleast 500 years before I ever had the idea.
They beat me to it every time! How does that keep happening?
Except on one thing. I invented a Bridge to Nowhere.
Ok, it is actually a rescue device, but the design is literally a bridge. To nowhere. Or everywhere. One day it may actually exist in reality, and not just theory.
Take that Italy!

The CIRVER SPINE project certainly warrants further development. This is incredible. We have a tv program called the New Inventors each week where the prototypes of new inventions are given an airing. Yours would be in there - but first of course there's the hardest task of getting the prototype made (after patenting, of course) and developed so that it is foolproof in operation.
Also - About those Italians - I'm going to be in Rome on the 17th, 18th and 19th December - can't wait to see some of Michelangelo's treasures that he's left for us to enjoy.
Damn I am so jealous.
If you get a chance, go see the Michelangelo Pieta, the statue of Mary holding Christ as he dies,
A mad man attacked that statue with a hammer some years back. He seemed focused on her hands and they had to pick up every shard and repair it.
But, if the pictures are like seeing it for real, then it is probably one of the most beautiful statues ever created.
I have always wondered if it was truly as beautiful in person as it is in pictures. That and Winged Victory!
As far as the prototype goes...
I had this idea to save lives, and I know for a fact I will never be able to develop the prototype on my own. I have encouraged people to steal the design and just get the damn thing into existance, but I don't think they thought I was serious.
I have like 5 good ideas a day, this one is one of the better ones though and I really do believe it would save lives.
It does me no good to believe it will make me rich, because I would have to get rich just to develop the prototype.
Nor does seeking fame really seem to make sense, because, well, it is a rescue device and I will feel real damn good every time they save someone, I don't care if they understand it was my design or not.
I got the idea because for like a week three real bad ice incidents happened here, several kids died. It was so horrible. But I was watching them try to rescue these kids, these firemen trying to tiptoe out onto ice, it was so horrible.
The rescue failed.
But as I was watching that fireman creep out onto that ice, the idea for the CIRVER Spine literally unwrapped in my mind.
The amazing thing to me is how complete it is, how many uses it does have. All from a very simple design.
Anyways, maybe one day a very lonely crazy aristocrat will take me in and sponsor all my Great Ideas! And the CIRVER Spine will be my first project.
And, if someone rips it off first, then I will focus on other projects happily knowing the device is in existance and being used for exactly what I designed it for.
By the way, if anyone does rip off this idea...3 things.
Please keep the name CIRVER Spine. I thought it quite clever and consider it a gift.
I already checked and there is definately a market for it and the ones I contacted about all said they have a place for just that very thing. All of them.
And, please hurry. The faster the better.
